UnBranding

This article collection has emerged over a period of time and in small doses. We three jointly have discussed these topics often. It has also appeared in the Raattai podcast that we host every week since 2023. Most importantly it has emerged as subject of discussion every time any one of us met with the Organic farmers, seed savers, safe food activists, academics and bureaucrats.

The idea to put this down as a publication emerged after Dilip once gave a lecture on the need for ‘’no packaging’’ to bewildered looking room of government officials in his bid to convince them that no packing is the best eco-friendly packing. He had been invited as an “expert’’ in packaging.

This small article compilation is the first step in articulating UnBranding as a concept and a movement on our part. We are doing it as we feel there is a lot of resonance in diverse fields for the values that we espouse under this concept.

We have divided this publication as Puram (external) and Agam (internal) keeping in line with the Tamil tradition.
